Valor camo butterfly

This is an original vintage camo butterfly knife, made by Tak Fukuta circa 1980s in Seki, Japan for Valor. We recently acquired this model from the Fukuta factory archives in Seki, Japan. Marked "Stainless Steel Japan" as many other Valor models were simply marked. He made the same model for several companies and we also have two other identical versions with Herbertz and Skoz tang stamps. The camo patterns are hand painted so we have pictured a few in the last photo to show some of the variations (each sale is for one knife, no box).
Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others.
