Description
This is a Loveless inspired knife blade blank made by in Seki, Japan by Winchester circa 1980s. It measures 8.125" long overall and the blade measures 3.625" long and is made of polished 3/16" thick 440 stainless. Each blade has a serial number on the back side near the tang. Has a tapered tang but only ground on one side with other side still needing ground. This is a limited edition knife blade and serial number will vary. Made for a large guard and bottom of blade is notched for it - guard not included, blade only. This was produced for Winchester by Tak Fukuta who was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others.
