Description
This is a vintage unmarked Parker model (identical to the Parker eagle stamped version we had) folding liner lock pocket boot knife, made in Seki Japan by Tak Fukuta circa 1980s. It measures 3 7/8" long closed and the 440C stainless steel blade measures 2 3/4". This is old stock found in the original factory in Japan. Among the blemish ranges are: ( B) blade opens too easily from closed position but has good action and locks open tightly, (C) blade opens too easily from closed position but gets tight when fully opened, (D) blade opens too easily from closed position and up and down movement when locked open. The price will vary depending on condition. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This knife is one of these rare finds.
