Description
This is a knife blade blank made by Tak Fukuta in Seki, Japan for Junglee circa 2000. It measures 9.25" long overall (with handle) and the blade measures 5.2" long and is made of polished 5/32" thick ATS-34 and etched with JUnglee Tak Fukuta and 2000 in gold over decorative black. Comes with Stainless steel guard and tapered tang handle part. Has rust. Great for custom project. Use the handle part, or create your own. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This knife is one of these rare finds.
