This is a stunning survival knife made in Seki, Japan by Seizo Imai circa 1980s-1990s. It is branded Imax, his own personal brand, which he reserved for the finest knives that he made. Back in the day, Imai made the best quality Japanese made Buckmaster style knives for Explorer and Parker. This one is no exception and is the only version that is mirror polished. It features a heavy 1/4" thick x 7.5" long mirror polished blade and measures 12.625" long overall. Comes with a custom leather sheath. Seizo Imai was one Seki, Japan's finest craftsmen and most famous knifemakers of the modern era. His collaboration with Parker spanned nearly two decades. He made knives for Parker, Frost, Browning, Explorer, Compass, Condor, and many others, including his own brands Imax and Seizo Imai. His custom Loveless style knives are works of art. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This is one of these rare finds.

Beautiful addition to my collection!

This was one of several knives that I have purchased over the years from eprague. Communication has always been excellent. Packaging is always first-rate for protection and I know everything will arrive to me in pristine condition. This knife in particular is stunning and I'm very happy to have it as part of my collection now.
