Description
This is a fantastic Herbertz Scrimshaw lockback knife made in Seki, Japan circa 1990s by G. Sakai - one of the city's most respected knifemakers. It is a rare and discontinued item! It features an aluminum handle with cream resin inlay with a bear scrimshaw on one side and a 440 Stainless blade; original factory edge, sharp! G. Sakai has produced quality knives for many brands over the decades, including Al Mar, SOG, and Spyderco. For several years it made knives for Gerber, even changing its name to "Gerber Sakai" which was subsequently shortened to G. Sakai. The company now produces Spyderco's Japanese made knives which are known for their exceptional quality. This knife was recently found in the factory archives.
