Description
This is a scarce vintage Fury hunting trapper knife, made by Tak Fukuta in Seki, Japan circa 1990s. This large 4 1/2" trapper is of stunning quality, featuring polished AUS-8 blades with good snap, nickel silver bolsters, and Ebony handles. Identical to the A.G. Russell AG-102 also made by Fukuta in 1997. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This is one of these rare finds. Stock photos.
