Description
This is a Calmont Cutlery fixed blade hunting knife made in Japan. Called the Point Protector, it was introduced in 1987, designed by Calvin Montgomery and produced in Seki, Japan. The folding guard works to protect the point from internal organs when field dressing. This is an excellent quality knife and would make a great hunting knife, but definitely a great addition to a collection due to its unique patented design. Blade is 440A stainless steel, and handle is integral metal. Measures 6' long overall with a 2.5" long blade. Comes with sheath.
