Description

This is a blemished vintage Boker Magnum folding liner lock pocket boot knife, made in Seki Japan by Tak Fukuta circa 1990. It measures 3 7/8" long closed and the 440C stainless steel blade measures 2 3/4". The blade is marked "Magnum 440 Stainless" and if features a white micarta handle with red spacer. This is old stock found in the original factory in Japan. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This knife is one of these rare finds.

Vintage old stock with signs of aging and blemishes. Blade slightly sticks up in the closed position. Pivot is tight. Lockup is good with slight up and down movement. Liner goes over far. Some small cracks near pin on the front. Small amount of gap on the front side.
