Description
This is a stunning ornate Parker fixed blade made by Tak Fukuta in Seki, Japan for Parker circa 1983-84. This knife won the Blade Magazine "Investment Knife of the Year" award. It is part of a knife series produced by Parker that were exact reproductions of knives from the 1830-1870 era and were produced in 1983-1984. It has a stainless steel blade and pearl handle. Measures 13.375" long overall and has a 8.7" long blade. Knife only, no sheath or box. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This knife is one of these rare finds.
