Description

Description

This is an original G96 hunting knife, made by Hattori circa 1970s. This one is a copy of the Buck 118 model. Stored in the Hattori factory archives for decades, this collectible knife was only recently made available. It appears that this one was a factory second, missing the G96 Jet-Aer tang stamp and also missing the G96 crest in handle, so there is a square where it should be. It features a 4.5" long made of "rustproof" stainless steel, widely believed to be ATS-34, tempered to 60 plus rockwell. It is 8.75" long overall. Recently found in the Hattori factory. Ichiro Hattori is one of the most widely known of master knifemakers of Seki, Japan, producing knives for G96, Valor, Kershaw, Browning, Fallkniven, Cold Steel and others. Comes with black nylon sheath, supplied by Hattori.
