Description
This is a scarce vintage knife made in Seki, Japan in the 1970s by Seizo Imai for Compass Industries. It is thin and measures 5" long closed and features a stainless steel blade with stainless steel handle. This one never had the inlays put in but originally was produced with wood as shown in last picture (not included, for example only). We do include one plastic inlay to use as a pattern to make inlays of your material of choice. Nice vintage knife, very similar to Gerber folders made in Japan around the same time period. Seizo Imai was one Seki, Japan's finest craftsmen and most famous knifemakers of the modern era. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This is one of these rare finds.
