It is difficult to describe how awesome this knife is. From its aggressive design and massive heft to its overall great looks, this is truly a stunning piece to add to any collection. Made to commemorate "The Birth of Sport Diving" in 1942, this Silver Collection knife was made with quality and precision by IC Cutlery in Seki, Japan circa 1981. The blade features a gold etch with a scuba gear scene and "The Birth of Sport Diving" "Commemorating the development of the world's first practical scuba system" "1942". It is marked with the serial number 2042. The tang is marked on the front side "Silver Collection Classic Series Custom Craft Seki Japan" and on the back is "440-A Stainless Steel Japan". It comes in a a glass front display case that is designed to lay flat, or stand up on a shelf for an impressive display. IC Cut, short for "Ishikawa Cutlery", is one of the city's finest makers and has a long family history of crafting samurai swords and began producing knives in 1940.
