Description
This is a rare vintage Frost Cutlery 8 point throwing stars. Marked "Pat. Frost Cutlery Japan" this star measures 4" in diameter from point to point. This star has 1.25" points. Measures 3/32" thick. Made by Tak Fukuta in Seki, Japan circa 1980, this is a beautiful ornate star. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. These are some of these rare finds. Stock photos.
