Description
This is a rare vintage Valor throwing star, hand made in Seki, Japan by Tak Fukuta circa 1970s-80s. Many consider the Valor the finest throwing star made in that era. This star measures a hefty 1/8" thick x 3.5" in from point to point. Marked "440A Steel Made in Japan" and hand finished to a sharp edge, back side is stamped "Ninja" and "Fukuta Ninjya" in Kanji. Hurry, these won't last long.
Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. These are some of these rare finds. Stock photos.
