Description
This is a RARE vintage Valor throwing star, hand made in Seki, Japan by Tak Fukuta circa 1970s-80s. Many consider his the finest throwing stars made in that era. Comes in the original cardboard sleeve, this star measures a hefty 1/8" thick x 3 1/2" from point to point. Made of blued Carbon Steel and hand finished to a sharp edge, back side is stamped "Negoro" and "Ninja" and the front is marked "Valor", " Carbon Steel", "Handmade Japan", and "Pat. P". Hurry, these won't last long.
Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. Stock photos.
