Description
This is an original unfinished knife blade blank made by Seizo Imai in Seki, Japan circa 1980s-1990s. Made of stainless steel, most likely 440 stainless or AUS-8. Overall length is 15.25" and the blade is 10.625" long and measures just over 1/4" thick. This is flat stock and blade needs ground. Seizo Imai was one of Seki, Japan's finest craftsmen and most famous knifemakers of the modern era. His collaboration with Parker spanned nearly two decades. He also made knives for Frost, Browning, Explorer, Compass, Condor, and many others, including his own brands Imax and Seizo Imai. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This is one of these rare finds.
