Description

This is the Frost "The Gambler" Boot knife. This is a rare Frost boot knife made by Tak Fukuta many years ago. Only sheath is marked Japan, as the Japan etch looks like it was buffed off (to see the one we have with the etch, please see link below). Unused Old Stock (may have light shop wear or aging signs), made in Seki, Japan circa 1980s. The overall length is 6 1/8" and the blade is 3 1/8" long surgical stainless; tang stamp may be partially buffed off as shown in last picture. Has original factory edge. The handle is Stag and nickel silver guard. Comes with leather sheath, marked "Japan". Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage "new old stock" models were found at his warehouse. This knife is one of these rare finds.
