Description
This is the Frost "The Gambler" Boot knife. This is a rare Frost boot knife made by Tak Fukuta circa 1980s. Made in Seki, Japan circa 1980s by Tak Fukuta. The overall length is 6 1/8" and the blade is 3 1/8" long surgical stainless. Has original factory edge. The handle is Stag and nickel silver guard. Comes with leather sheath, marked "Japan". Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old models were found at his warehouse. This knife is one of these rare finds.
