It has been almost 5 years since Mcusta last released a Custom Artist
series knife, but finally Mcusta has produced this custom Japanese
traditional Urushi lacquered handle out of Japanese Maple wood. The
selected Japanese Maple wood has some stripe wood grains not
visible on the natural white color, but multiple layers of Urushi
lacquers make these come out beautifully. This is a time consuming work
of art with repeated brushing of Urushi lacquer and dry process. Mcusta has
prepared the VG-10 San Mai blade with Japanese traditional Tsuchime (hammered
textures) and Katana's Hamon pattern to perfectly match with the Urushi
Art handle. Each blade is marked with the Mcusta logo and red Rakuin on
front, and on the back: URUSHI ART 漆, Limited Edition of 50. The serial
numbers of "001-050" are engraved on the blade tang. We only have two of
each version available with a low single digit serial number. Each knife
comes with presentation Leather case, that can also display the knife
