Description
This is a lot of two vintage Valor 3 point throwing stars. Both marked "Pat. Japan" these stars measure 3.5" and 4.5" in diameter. The large star has 1.75" points while the smaller star has 1.5" points. They measure 3/32" thick. Made by Tak Fukuta in Seki, Japan circa 1980, these are a no nonsense simple star. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. These are some of these rare finds.
