Kiku Matsuda is one of Seki, Japan’s leading master knifemakers. He hand grinds these masterpieces in his own unique way, specializing in his Hamaguri-Ba method like the convex edge famous on the Japanese Katana. His superior tactical knives are highly sought after. They caught the attention of SOG who now makes a Kiku version production knife. This knife features a superior OU-31 blade (Japanese powder steel) with acid etch finish, and multi-ground blade with large recurved concave ground belly and Hamaguri-ba ground toward the blade tip with long false edge on the back and reinforced spear tip. It has an OD green canvas micarta handle, and hand fitted Kydex sheath with Tek-Lok device. Kiku hand signed the sheath and magazine article in gold as well as hand signed the certificate of authenticity.
