The "切出 KIRIDASHI" knife has a long history of use in Japan for a variety tasks. The single-edged blade has been perfected especially for carving, shaving, or sharpening a piece of wood or bamboo. This is still very popular in Japan, and gaining throughout the world. Many crafts and arts projects would benefit from the use of a kiridashi knife on hand.
The KB-612 Kanetsune kiridashi features a SK-54 stainless steel blade with a wild cherry wood handle. Made by Kanetsune in Seki, Japan.
