Seki, Japan's master knife maker Ichiro Hattori made this stunning knife in 2018. Originally designed as a limited edition knife for Browning back in 1990, Hattori continued to produce this model over the following decades averaging about 5 pieces per year. This one is serial number 157, making it the 157th one he made since the limited edition batch for Browning. The Master Hunter I is Hattori's favorite design and it features a 3-1/2" Cowry-X Powdered steel core edge forged with 120 layered Nickel/Stainless Damascus steel. The drop point blade has detailed Damascus patterns and a large false edge on back. The hand contoured 4" Cocobolo wood handle assures a firm and comfortable grip and the hidden full tang is permanently fastened with solid Nickel silver double hilt and butt with spacers. Comes with a brown double stitched leather sheath. Ichiro Hattori is one of the best known master knifemakers of Seki, Japan, producing knives for Kershaw, Browning, Fallkniven, Cold Steel as well as his own brand name Hattori over his 80 years of making knives.
