Description
The G. Sakai Minokuni Mamori is an elegant higonokami. It features a san mai VG-10 blade with a hammered finish and a hammered finish stainless handle in a gold tone finish with stainless tone highlights. The overall effect is stunning. This higo is a traditional Japanese folder and is a slipjoint with no locking mechanism. The thumb tab can be used to open and close the folder. G. Sakai has produced quality knives for many top brands over the decades, including Al Mar, SOG, and Spyderco. For several years it made knives for Gerber, even changing its name to "Gerber Sakai" which was subsequently shortened to G. Sakai. The company now produces Spyderco's Japanese made knives which are known for their exceptional quality. G. Sakai continues to produce quality cutlery under its own name. This folder is a fine example of the company's consistent tradition of offering the finest of Seki made knives.
