This Seizo Imai commemorative knife is one of a limited production of only 194 knives completed by Fumio Inagaki of Seki, Japan and officially approved by the Imai Estate. The sturdy AUS-8 blade that measures 5/32" thick was made by Seizo Imai circa 2005 when he produced this model for the Singapore military. It features a full tapered tang and is hand-finished by Inagaki with a satin blade, nickel silver guard and a Red Sandalwood handle. Of those produced, 62 handles are made with Jacaranda wood, 31 with Red Sandalwood, and 101 feature Ebony wood. These are the only remaining stock with Red Sandalwood handle. It comes with a sturdy leather sheath and Certificate of Authenticity from Fumio Inagaki and Junko Imai, the wife of Seizo Imai. Sale is for one knife, others shown for example only.
Fumio Inagaki worked with master knifemaker Seizo Imai for 30 years and continues to craft his own custom knives. This commemorates the life of Imai with an elegant, historical, collectible and useful compact knife.
