Description
These 23 final knives that we are offering have blemishes. The handle scales are most likely close to coming away from liner or may already be off the handle and need glued back on. Handles may be warped. Blade may have light bumpy feeling when opening and have staining that can mostly be wiped off with the aid of WD-40. Some have rust, no snap, and/or no thumb nail. The blade tip may be slightly sticking up when closed which can be remedied by lightly grinding away the tip of base of blade (please see last picture).
These were made in Seki, Japan by Seizo Imai in the early 1980s. A nice little knife and very similar to the Buck 527 Treasury series. It features a wood handle with brass liners and stainless steel blade. Seizo Imai was one Seki, Japan's finest craftsmen and most famous knifemakers of the modern era. His collaboration with Parker spanned nearly two decades. He made knives for Parker, Frost, Browning, Explorer, Compass, Condor, and many others, including his own brands Imax and Seizo Imai. His custom Loveless style knives are works of art. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. These are among those finds.
