Description
This is a very rare Tak Blade fixed blade hunter made circa 1990s by Tak Fukuta in Seki, Japan and has his own tang stamp "Tak Blade". It features a green rubber handle and the blade is AUS-8 stainless steel 1/8" thick. Has great ergonomics and has similar looks to the Buck rubber handle knives made in the same era. Measures 9.5" long overall and has a 5" long blade. Comes with a nylon sheath, a bit longer than needed, but works well. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Kife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This knife is one of these rare finds.
