Description
This is an original Olsen OK 162 pocket knife made in Seki, Japan between circa 1978-1982. This is one of the finest designed lockbacks from the era, it is very thin, sturdy, yet elegant. In the late 1970s, Olsen teamed up with Seizo Imai to produce models in Japan at lower cost and this model, the Lil Brassy, was one of these knives. It features a sharp stainless steel blade, smooth bone handle, and classy art deco brass bolster. Unused, though with tarnish/handing wear/rust and the blade is a little tight not having much snap when closing. It is marked "Olsen Ok 162 - H.C., MI Pat. Pend" (Howard City) on the front and on the back is "Stainless Steel Japan". This is a great medium sized pocket knife at 3.5" long closed. Highly collectible, yet usable. Acquired direct from the closed factory of Seizo Imai and in storage for nearly four decades, this is a rare chance to own unused old stock from a bygone era. Comes in an original Olsen box (marked for a different model).
