Description
This is a stunning knife made in Seki, Japan by Seizo Imai circa 1990s, that was made for his own personal brand, Imax. Made in the traditional Japanese Ken Nata style, this knife features a heavy 1/4" thick x 8" long chisel ground AUS-6 blade that is hammer finished on one side and flat ground satin finished on the other. The 6 5/8" long handle is made of oak and features a stainless guard. The knife weighs 1.5 lbs. Comes with brown leather sheath. Seizo Imai was one Seki, Japan's finest craftsmen and most famous knifemakers of the modern era. His collaboration with Parker spanned nearly two decades. He made knives for Parker, Frost, Browning, Explorer, Compass, Condor, and many others, including his own brands Imax and Seizo Imai. His custom Loveless style knives are works of art. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This is one of these rare finds.
