Description
This is a hefty survival knife made in Seki, Japan by Seizo Imai circa 1980s-1990s. It is branded Imax, his own personal brand, which he reserved for the finest knives that he made. Back in the day, Imai made the best quality Japanese made Buckmaster style knives for Explorer and Parker. This one is no exception. It features a heavy 7/32" thick x 8" long blade and measures 13.625" long overall. Blade is believed to be AUS-8. Comes with a leather sheath. Seizo Imai was one Seki, Japan's finest craftsmen and most famous knifemakers of the modern era. His collaboration with Parker spanned nearly two decades. He made knives for Parker, Frost, Browning, Explorer, Compass, Condor, and many others, including his own brands Imax and Seizo Imai. His custom Loveless style knives are works of art. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This is one of these rare finds.
