Description
This is a vintage model 514 combat dagger made in Seki Japan by Tak Fukuta in the early 1980s. This is the same knife Fukuta made for the Parker Combat Series daggers but this one is branded C.I. on the guard. Quite sturdy, this dagger features a stacked leather handle and AUS-6A stainless steel blade. Original factory sharp edge. Comes with leather sheath. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This knife is one of these rare finds.
