Description
This is the unique Ant Silveroller, made in Seki, Japan circa 1990s by G. Sakai - one of the city's most respected knifemakers. It features a decorative Aluminum handle and AUS-8 stainless steel blade. This is a manual action knife and the round ball bearing in the handle is used to unlock the linerlock mechanism - definitely one of the coolest knives made in Seki. G. Sakai produced quality knives for many brands over the decades, including Al Mar, SOG, and Spyderco. For several years it made knives for Gerber, even changing its name to "Gerber Sakai" which was subsequently shortened to G. Sakai. The company now produces Spyderco's Japanese made knives which are known for their exceptional quality. This Ant was recently found in the factory archives.
