Description
This is a scarce knife made by Tak Fukuta in Seki, Japan for A.G. Russell in 2000. It features an Ironwood handle with nickel silver guard and 7.125" AUS-8 stainless steel blade. The blade on this one is blemished with the hollow grind too deep near the guard, it actually gives the blade the look of a fat or wide front side of the blade. Measures 12.125" long overall. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Kife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This knife is one of these rare finds. Comes with leather sheath.
