Description

Description

This is a very well designed hunting knife made in Seki, Japan circa late 1970s by Tak Fukuta. This is a sample made for the Cam III project but also based on the same design made for Rigid. It features a mirror polished AUS-8 stainless steel blade and micarta handle. It has a tapered tang with red paper spacers and has nickel silver bolsters. Measuring 9.75" long overall with a 4.5" long blade. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others.
