The Rhino 44 is a scarce model and a quality copy of the Gerber Magnum produced in the same 1970s era. This knife was partially completed at the Seizo Imai factory in Seki, japan. This one has brass bolsters. The blade was never sharpened. The handle needs shaped/completed and buffed; the rivets are installed. The blade pivot will need peened and the tightness will need adjusted to have proper snap. With varying amounts of staining mainly on bolsters and the mirror polished blade has rust and tarnish that can mostly be wiped clean. Final two pictures show a completed version to give example of finished look (for example only, as this offer is for an unfinished knife). A great opportunity to do a knife project and get a fantastic vintage Magnum at the same time!

This is a vintage Japanese crafted pocket knife made by Seizo Imai for Rhino circa 1970s. It features a polished stainless steel blade with red wood handle and stainless bolsters. Seizo Imai was one Seki, Japan's finest craftsmen and most famous knifemakers of the modern era. His collaboration with Parker spanned nearly two decades. He made knives for Parker, Frost, Browning, Explorer, Compass, Condor, and many others, including his own brands Imax and Seizo Imai. His custom Loveless style knives are works of art. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. This is one of these rare finds.
