Description
This is a very well designed hunting knife made in Seki, Japan circa late 1970s-1980s by Tak Fukuta. This is a sample made for Frost based on the Cam III of the same design and also produced for Rigid, but it is also co-stamped with Tak Fukuta's tang stamp. It features an AUS-8 stainless steel blade and micarta handle. It has a tapered tang with red paper spacers and has nickel silver bolsters. Measuring 9.75" long overall with a 4.5" long blade. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others.
