Description
This is a factory sample prototype for the Olsen OK 161 pocket knife made in Seki, Japan between circa 1978-1982. It still has the original factory sample stickers on the handle. In the late 1970s, Olsen teamed up with Seizo Imai to produce models in Japan at lower cost. It features a sharp stainless steel blade, and bone handle. Unused, though with tarnish/light shelf wear and staining. The blade is tight with decent snap. It is marked "Olsen Ok 161 - H.C., MI Pat. Pend" (Howard City) on the front and on the back is "Stainless Steel Japan". This is a great small pocket knife at 2.7" long closed. Highly collectible, yet usable. Acquired direct from the closed factory of Seizo Imai and in storage for four decades, this is a rare chance to own unused old stock from a bygone era.
