Description
This is a nicely designed fighter made in Seki, Japan by Tak Fukuta, circa 1980s-1990s. It features a wood handle with brass guard and butt with a sturdy 1/4" thick stainless steel blade (Most likely AUS-8). Marked with number 66 which was the number for that model made during that year. Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless, making this an special Japanese Fukuta rendition of the Chut style knife. Fukuta hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage models were found at his warehouse, this is one of those finds.
