Description

Description

This is a nicely designed fighter made in Seki, Japan by Tak Fukuta, circa 1980s-1990s. It features a wood handle with red cartridge shaped inlay and brass guard with a sturdy 7/32" thick stainless steel blade (Most likely AUS-8). Marked with number 55 which was the number for that model made during that year. Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. Fukuta hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage models were found at his warehouse, this is one of those finds.
