This is a fantastic quality linerlock knife made in Seki, Japan by G. Sakai. Based on the company's "Preppy" design, it is a rare and discontinued item - being offered at a closeout price. It features a custom look in stainless steel handles with decorative overlays and a one-hand opening satin polished Stainless blade; original factory edge, sharp! It comes in an Explorer box, not original but great for storing the knife. G. Sakai has produced quality knives for many brands over the decades, including Al Mar, SOG, and Spyderco. For several years it made knives for Gerber, even changing its name to "Gerber Sakai" which was subsequently shortened to G. Sakai. The company now produces Spyderco's Japanese made knives which are known for their exceptional quality. This folder was recently found in the factory archives.
