Description
This is a rare Explorer lockback knife made in Seki, Japan circa 1990s-2000s by G. Sakai - one of the city's most respected knifemakers. It is a rare and discontinued item! It features a rubber handle and an AUS-8 stainless blade with a solid lockup; original factory edge, sharp! Has a pocket clip. G. Sakai produced quality knives for many brands over the decades, including Al Mar, SOG, and Spyderco. For several years it made knives for Gerber, even changing its name to "Gerber Sakai" which was subsequently shortened to G. Sakai. The company now produces Spyderco's Japanese made knives which are known for their exceptional quality. This knife was recently found in the factory archives.
