Description
This lightweight lockback was made for Beretta in Seki, Japan circa 1990 by G. Sakai - one of the city's most respected knifemakers. It features a lightweight glass reinforced nylon handle and AUS-8 stainless steel blade. the handle has a 9mm crest. A recent Seki warehouse find. G. Sakai produced quality knives for many brands over the decades, including Al Mar, SOG, and Spyderco. For several years it made knives for Gerber, even changing its name to "Gerber Sakai" which was subsequently shortened to G. Sakai. The company now produces Spyderco's Japanese made knives which are known for their exceptional quality.
