Description
This great looking scimitar lockback was made for the French company, Coursolle, in Seki, Japan circa 1980s-90s by G. Sakai - one of the city's most respected knifemakers. It features a handle made of Corian and has stainless steel bolsters and and stainless steel blade. Has great function and has the feel of quality. G. Sakai produced quality knives for many brands over the decades, including Al Mar, SOG, and Spyderco. For several years it made knives for Gerber, even changing its name to "Gerber Sakai" which was subsequently shortened to G. Sakai. The company now produces Spyderco's Japanese made knives which are known for their exceptional quality. This knife was recently found in the factory archives.
