Description
In the 1980s G. Sakai produced excellent quality balisongs for Pacific Cutlery which eventually became Benchmade. This balisong is a little thinner than those produced for Pacific Cutlery but still offers a decent quality butterfly knife. This knife features a cast metal handle and a 0.114" thick AUS-8 stainless steel blade. G. Sakai produced quality knives for many brands over the decades, including Al Mar, SOG, and Spyderco. For several years it made knives for Gerber, even changing its name to "Gerber Sakai" which was subsequently shortened to G. Sakai. The company now produces Spyderco's Japanese made knives which are known for their exceptional quality.
