This is a great stainless steel Schrade knife guard in unused old stock condition from the Schrade factory at Ellenville, NY which closed in 2004. You can easily grind the opposite side to a point like the other, or even grind the top off to make a single side finger guard. Made in the USA. Overall exterior size: 3/16" thick x 5/8" wide x 2 3/16" tall. Approximate cutout in center: 0.200 at center to at edges 0.275 x 0.640 at center to 0.680 at edges. As is, this is made for 3/16" thick tang x 5/8" but center could be cut wider to more precisely fit 1/4" thick tang x 11/16, or anything between.
