Description

Description

Produced by Seizo Imai, and made in Seki, Japan, circa the early 2000s for his custom Loveless style knives, this is the original Nickel Silver guard for the Seizo Imai blades that we also offer. It measures 0.6" wide x 0.28" x 1.42" tall. Interior machined slot section measures approx. 0.158" x 0.92". It is squared at the bottom and may or may not be slightly rounded on the side that faces the blade tip (two variations shown in last picture for example). Please note this is for one guard only, blade not included (shown for example only).

During the latter part of his life, Imai focused on creating stunning Loveless-style knives, and also sold them as knifemaking kits. Seizo Imai was one of Seki, Japan's finest craftsmen and most famous knifemakers of the modern era. His collaboration with Parker spanned nearly two decades. He also made knives for Frost, Browning, Explorer, Compass, Condor, and many others, including his own brands Imax and Seizo Imai. His custom Loveless style knives are works of art. After his passing, several vintage old stock items were found at his warehouse. This is one of these rare finds.
