Description
This is a lot of 6 vintage Valor throwing stars. Marked "Stainless Steel Japan" these have have eight points and are large, measuring 5 1/4" in diameter. Made by Tak Fukuta in Seki, Japan circa 1980s, these are a no nonsense simple star, on the thinner side at 1/16" and unsharpened. Great for recreation.
Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. These are some of these rare finds. Stock photos.
