Kiku Matsuda is one of Seki, Japan’s leading master knifemakers. He hand grinds these masterpieces in his own unique way, specializing in his Hamaguri-Ba method like the convex edge famous on the Japanese Katana. His superior tactical knives are highly sought after. They caught the attention of SOG who now makes a Kiku version production knife. This is a new evolved version of the J-Defender model designed and produced for Japanese Self-Defence Force. It is now made of OU-31 blade and Black G10 handle. The 5-1/2" Combat/Dagger blade is a spear point Hamaguri-ba blade and has a partially serrated false edge on back. The 5" handle is contoured Black G10 with thumb notches and two lanyard holes in the end and one hole on tang. Comes with hand fitted Kydex sheath with Tek-Lok Belt device.
