This is a scarce Custom Siezo Imai Loveless style caper, made in Seki, Japan. It is new old stock and very difficult to find in the US. It measures 6 1/2" overall and has a 3" long VG-10 core San Mai Nickel/stainless Damascus tapered tang blade. The handle is Burlwood with nickel silver bolsters. Comes in box with original brown leather sheath. Seizo Imai began making knives at 17 when he joined his father-in-law's knife factory in Seki, Japan. Taking over at 27, he built a new factory, producing "Parker-Imai" brand knives for Parker Cutlery in Chattanooga, TN for 20 years. Afterwards, and until his passing in 2014, he spent 21 years crafting the highest quality knives. His specialty was replica knives, and this Loveless Style knife is truly stunning example of his work.
